I, like Bobby Sanders, know that it's okay to be different, okay to dream, it's okay to want Something More in life.

I was born with a severed spinal cord.

I am paralyzed from the waist down.

As I like to say, I was born in a wheelchair.

I was the first wheelchair bound student to go from K-12 in the Mattituck, NY school system.

To be one of the guys, I covered the high school sports teams for the local newspapers.

I played the role of a king in a school play...my wheelchair made a splendid throne.

In all respects, I was one of the guys.

I majored in business and marketing at Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY...I was the captain of the wheelchair basketball team.

My business career has been varied and fulfilling.

I have been a Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations in the financial industry.

I am currently a Corporate Sales Rep for BJ's Wholesale Club.

I continue to write sports for the Times-Review Newspapers.

I am a co-host on Ed Zaborowski's weekly sports cable television show called 'The Hot Stove League.'

But of all the hats I wear, I am proudest of being the father of my two teenage daughters-Rebecca and Bridgette.

My life has been full and rich and good.

But there have, of course, been challenges.

Bumps in the road.

I hope that as you read Something More, it will be a roadmap of hope and possibilities for you.
